Teaching Jobs - Nursing Assistant Professors

Job Description:

Assistant Professors required for the following fields at a Teaching College:

  1. Midwifery (Urgent need for this)
  2. Critical Care
  3. Mental Health
  4. Medical-Surgical
  5. General Nursing

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct lectures, seminars, according to the study plans in specific curriculum
  • Supervise student laboratory and clinical work
  • Evaluate and grade student class work, laboratory and clinic work, assignments, and papers
  • Keep abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences
  • Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, course materials, and methods of instruction
  • Prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate or graduate students on topics related to field of study
  • Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and hand-outs
  • Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions
  • Supervise undergraduate or graduate teaching, internship, and research work
  • Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records
  • Advise students on academic and vocational curricula and on career issues
  • The conduct and supervision of tutorials, practical/clinical sessions, demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions, clinical sessions
  • Significant contribution to the profession, community
  • Consultation with students
  • Attendance at departmental and faculty meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Head of Program

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree, Master Degree and PhD required in Nursing or Midwifery related subjects from a recognized University (not online)
  • Registration in your Home Country Professional Registering Body is a must
  • Qualifications in field of specialty required
  • Must be Certified, Licensed
  • Publications in reputable Medical Journals
  • Excellent English skills or able to pass Academic IELTS test with Band 7

Required Experience:

Minimum of 3 years lecturing experience in Nursing related subjects at an accredited College or University

Minimum 3 years Practical experience

Demonstrated success working within a high performing Educational Institution

Monthly Salary Range:

TAX FREE monthly salary approximately AED 13,694 - 15,404 depending on qualifications, teaching experience


First 29 days employee stays in a hotel suite. Housing Allowance provided as follows for employee to find accommodation (Help will be given):

8,320 to 13,000 AED monthly depending on marital status, location and position

Health Insurance Coverage:

Provided for employee, spouse and up to 3 dependents. Cover is for UAE only with emergency worldwide

Annual Air Tickets:

Cash Allowance given for Annual Air Fare for employee, spouse and up to 3 dependents (Up to employee if they want to use cash for travel or not)

Amount depending on Home Country location

AED 20,000 Cash Relocation Allowance given at beginning of contract. Half upon arrival and half after 3 month probation period


Annual Leave of minimum 30 working days per year plus all National holidays and Term Breaks

Dependant School Fees:

80,000 AED per family is payable (max of 40,000 AED per child) to cover fees, books, exams, registration, uniform, transport.

Eligible dependents must study in the UAE and are 5 years old or will attend KG1 at the beginning of the academic year. Children must be by birth or attested legal adoption and below 18 years old

Visa & Medical Check Fees:

Covered for Residence Visa only once in the country for employee only. 

Employee responsible for Visa fees for dependents

End Of Service Benefit:

Included as per UAE Labor Law. One month Basic Salary for each full year worked paid at end of service

Contract Period:

Open Contract - renewable



Paperwork Requirements:

Notarized and Attested degrees from home country.  Instructions will be provided upon acceptance.
