Teaching Jobs - English Teachers

Job Description:

Develop lesson plans and themes in line with curriculum objectives specific for teaching English at Secondary grades 9 to 12 levels and/or at the College level. Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and organizing learning resources and the classroom environment. Meeting with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors and administrators to resolve any possible behavioural or academic problems. Must also establish clear objectives for all lessons, and projects. Distribute, collect and grade homework assignments, tests and projects and attend staff meetings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in English, Literature, TESOL, Linguistics  from a recognized University
  • Masters Degree in English, Literature, Linguistics and/or ESL is preferred
  • TEACHING QUALIFICATION FROM ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES: UK, US, CA, AU, NZ, ZA and Scandinavian countries an Asset
  • Must be Native English speaker or near
  • For non-native speakers IELTS level 7 must have been passed
  • Must have excellent classroom management skills and able to deal effectively with student behaviour issues

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years English teaching experience at Secondary grade levels 9 to 12
  • Culturally sensitive, dependable, flexible and able to work in a continuously changing environment

Monthly Salary Range:

Competitive TAX FREE Salary range from AED 11,000 -13,000 depending on qualifications and years of experience

Housing:

Housing allowance: AED 7,400 - AED 11,600 per month (depends on the campus location and marital status)

New staff will stay in an apartment/hotel for the first 29 nights 

Health Insurance Coverage:

Provided for employee, spouse and up to 3 dependent children

Annual Air Tickets:

Cash Allowance given based on home country location for employee, spouse and up to 3 dependent children

Relocation air tickets also provided at beginning and end of contract

Relocation amount of 20,000 AED, half given upon arrival and remainder given at end of probation period, to be used at own discretion

Leave:

In addition to official holidays, paid leave is allocated as per academic calendar and as per the country Labour law.

Minimum 30 work days per year

Dependant School Fees:

School Tuition of 80,000 AED per family, maximum 40K per child) This allowance to be used for tuition fees, exam fees, text books, uniform, school transport – (all must be official invoices from the school)

Visa & Medical Check Fees:

VISA fees and Medical check done in the country for Residency Visa are paid by the school for Employee only.

End Of Service Benefit:

Receive 21 days basic salary for each full year of service. Plus economy air ticket to place of permanent residence according to Labour Law of the country.

Open Contract - renewable yearly

Paperwork Requirements:

Notarized and Attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates. You will be advised of school requirements.
