Job Description:

Our client in a Middle East country is searching for an Academic Manager who would be responsible for the day-to-day management of all Vocational-Apprenticeship academic activities on campus. They will be responsible for ensuring that all resources, facilities, and staff levels are sufficient for the effective delivery of National Qualifications. The Academic Manager will be accountable for ensuring that all academic curriculum, timetables, teaching materials, delivery resources, assessments and other related academic delivery requirements are available.  Is responsible for developing extra-curricular activities that enrich the learners experience including competitions, career clubs, social enterprise, and other student-centered activities. They will also be responsible for managing and coordinating all student council meetings on campus.

  • Comply with Policies, Programs and Procedures as per General Framework and take responsibility for any aspect that they are involved in
  • Ensure that staff, students, visitors, and contractors always comply with all Policies as per General Framework and during all events
  • Accountable for all aspects of the Academic Foundation and Vocational course programming and timetabling, in conjunction with the Department Chair
  • Responsible for monitoring all academic and vocational activities to effectively measure learner attendance and progression
  • Responsible for supporting the activities of the Internal Quality Assurance team to drive operational improvements in line with the requirements for the delivery of National Qualifications
  • Responsible for undertaking regular Self-Assessment Reviews (SAR’s) to ensure compliance with external regulator licensure requirements
  • Responsible for organizing a varied range of extra – curricular activities that will enhance the learner experience that will include competitions, career clubs, social activities, and other student-centered activities
  • Accountable for establishing and managing the campus student committee to establish a strong learner voice that will be used to drive continuous improvements in facilities, teaching and the overall learner experience
  • Responsible for managing the induction of new members of staff onto campus
  • Responsible for ensuring clear communication across the campus so that all staff are aware of the current academic goals, policies and procedures that need to be followed
  • Supports the marketing function, public relations campaigns, and recruitment activity to enable the establishment and maintenance of the Institute as a preferred education choice for students
  • Report on all Key Performance Indictors (KPIs) as requested by Senior Management

Required Qualifications:

Master Degree in Engineering, Science, Math or other Vocational programs required

Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, Math or other Vocational Programs required

PhD a definite asset

Must be able to pass an IELTS exam at 7.6

Required Experience:

  • 5 years teaching experience in Vocational or Further Learning Institutions
  • 5 years of Supervisory experience in Vocational or Further Learning Institutions
  • Learning Technologies that support educational development in line with current technological development and project-based learning


  • Curriculum delivery, teaching methods, and class observation
  • Instructional Methods and Training Techniques
  • Curriculum Design Principles and Learning Theory
  • Group and individual teaching techniques
  • Design of individual development plans
  • Test Design principles
  • Problem Solving and Decision making

Monthly Salary Range:

Competitive TAX FREE Monthly Salary to be discussed


Housing Allowance provided for employee to find accommodation (Help will be given)

First 29 days employee stays in a hotel suite

Health Insurance Coverage:

Provided for employee, spouse and up to 3 dependent children

Annual Air Tickets:

Annual Cash Allowance given, based on home country location for employee, spouse and up to 3 dependent children

Relocation air tickets also provided at beginning and end of contract


In addition to official holidays, paid leave is allocated as per academic calendar and as per the country Labour law. Minimum 30 work days per year

Dependant School Fees:

School Tuition provided (must be attending schools in same country as employee)

This allowance to be used for tuition fees, exam fees, text books, uniform, school transport – (all must be official invoices from the school)

Visa & Medical Check Fees:

VISA fees and Medical check done in the country for Residency Visa are paid by the school for Employee only

End Of Service Benefit:

Receive 21 days Basic Salary for each full year of service. Plus economy air ticket back to place of permanent residence according to Labour Law of the country

Contract Period:

Open Contract - renewable yearly

Notarized and Attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage, dependent birth certificates. You will be advised of school requirements
