Job Description:

KG - PRIMARY TEACHERS REQUIRED

Private international school from KG1 to Year 12, delivering the English National Curriculum, is looking to fill positions for KG and Primary classroom teachers. You will be required to develop schemes of work, as well as, lesson plans that challenge pupils and help them broaden their knowledge and understanding using established curriculum objectives.

You will encourage and advance learning by establishing positive relationships with students, keeping classroom and learning resources well organized to establish a positive learning environment. You will work collaboratively and flexibly with your peers to plan and present engaging and enthusiastic well-resourced lessons that cater to the needs of students of all abilities within your class

You will develop, monitor and track academic skills and social abilities to facilitate secure development of students according to their abilities and the age-related expectations of the National Curriculum of England and Wales. You will liaise with parents/guardians as necessary to ensure they are well informed regarding student progress and areas of improvement. You will undertake the responsibility of keeping up to date on any changes within the curriculum and confer with your head of department for necessary guidance.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in Education from a recognized University 

TEACHING LICENSE FROM ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES: UK, US, CA, AU, NZ, ZA (Due to Visa restrictions)

• Must be Native English speaker or near

• Must have excellent classroom management skills and able to deal effectively with student behaviour issues

Required Experience:

• Minimum 2 - 3 years experience teaching KG or Primary grade levels

• Culturally sensitive, dependable, flexible and able to work in a continuously changing environment

·         Priority will be given to teachers with British Curriculum teaching experience

Monthly Salary Range:

TAX FREE monthly salary range from 10,000 -12,000 QAR ($2700 to $3500 USD) depending on qualifications and experience

Housing:

Furnished Apartment Provided depending on family size. Utilities paid up to certain amount depending on family size

Health Insurance Coverage:

National Health insurance provided for Employee only and one dependent, depending on the school

Annual Air Tickets:

Cash value of annual round trip tickets to point of origin for Employee and one dependent, depending on which school

Leave:

According to the school calendar employee is entitled to an annual paid leave of 6-8 work weeks

Plus all National Holidays

SICK LEAVE:

Any employee who has completed the probation period shall have the right to paid sick leave. This is provided there is proof of illness in the form of a ‘sick note’ certification issued by a government hospital, but within the following limitations

Dependant School Fees:

Discounts on Dependent Tuition fees up to 3 children, depending on which school

Visa & Medical Check Fees:

Visa and Medical exam fees required by the State of Qatar for official purposes are paid by the School for Employee only

End Of Service Benefit:

End of service gratuity is one month Basic Salary for each year worked as per labour law

Contract Period:

2 year contract – renewable

Paperwork Requirements:

Notarized and Attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates. You will be advised of school requirements
