Job Description:
Experienced Professor or Associate Professor Psychology needed in UAE to make a significant contribution to all activities of the organizational unit and interdisciplinary area and to play a significant role within the profession and discipline.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The assist in the development of curricula and programs of study
- The preparation and delivery of lectures and seminars
- Covering all the Teaching and Learning activities (lectures, tutorials, workshops, clinical sessions, etc.) as planned in the curriculum
- Significant contribution to the profession, and/or discipline
- Course Coordination
- The development and extension of the college’s network of contacts with professionals in psychology and related areas
- The day-to-day responsibility for the coordination of specific modules and/or courses
- The marking and assessment of student academic performance and progression quality
- Contributing to Program and Institutional committees
- Contributing to Curriculum review and development
- The attendance at departmental and faculty meetings
- Participating in student Practical Placement supervision
- The performance of other duties as assigned by the Head of the Department
Required Qualifications:
- PhD in Psychology is a MUST
- Registration in Home Country Professional Registries Body
- Excellent English speaking and writing skills
- IELTS Academic 7 for the Non Native English speaking candidates
- A sound knowledge of Psychology, to include one or more subspecialties such as Clinical and/or behavioral psychology
- Capability of working under pressure and prioritizing workloads
- Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven Time Management skills
- Ability to work and to be an effective team player
- Confident multi-Tasking capabilities
- Keeps up to date with current trends by reading manuals, technical reports, periodicals
- Computer literacy
Required Experience:
- Minimum Five (5) years teaching experience and/or two (2) years of teaching experience in Higher Education after completing the PhD degree
- Experience of working in academic, health care institutions or research on Psychology related projects
- Demonstrated success working within a high performing educational institution
Monthly Salary Range:
NET TAX FREE monthly salary from AED 17,000 to 25,000 AED depending on qualifications and post-PhD teaching experience
Housing:
Monthly Allowance: AED 10,000 - 13,000 per month (depends on the campus location and marital status)
Health Insurance Coverage:
For the employee & family (spouse and up to 3 children under the age of 18 years)
Annual Air Tickets:
For employee & family (spouse and up to 3 children under the age of 18 years)
Mobilization package: Relocation ticket to the UAE for the employee & family (spouse and up to 3 children under the age of 18 years). Ten (10) days stay in a hotel after joining
AED 20,000 - relocation allowance upon joining (this is to help settle in the UAE)
Repatriation Ticket Allowance: for the employee & family (spouse and up to 3 children under the age of 18 years)
Leave:
Approximately 2 months summer holidays, plus national holidays and term breaks
Dependant School Fees:
AED 80,000/- per annum per family (maximum AED 40,000 per child) for dependents attending schools in the UAE
Visa & Medical Check Fees:
Covered by the employer for employee only
End Of Service Benefit:
At the end of the service employee is eligible for a gratuity (calculated as per the number of years completed and as per the last basic salary)

Open Contract - renewable yearly

Notarized and Attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates. You will be advised of school requirements
