Teaching Jobs - Physics and Chemistry Teacher

Job Description:

Develop lesson plans and themes in line with curriculum objectives specific for teaching Physics and Chemistry at a Secondary grade level. Instruct through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations. Use computers, audiovisual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement presentations. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the varying needs and interests of students. Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and organizing learning resources and the classroom environment.

Meeting with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors and administrators to resolve any possible behavioural or academic problems. Attend professional development workshops and educational conferences in order to maintain and improve professional competence. Establish and enforce rules for class management and student behaviour. Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate student progress.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics and Chemistry rom a recognized University
• TEACHING QUALIFICATION FROM ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES: UK, US, CA, AU, NZ, ZA and Scandinavian countries (Due to Visa Restrictions)
• Must have excellent English communications skills and could pass an IELTS at level 6.5
• Must have excellent classroom management skills and able to deal effectively with student behaviour issues

Required Experience:

• Minimum 3 years teaching experience in Physics and Chemistry at Secondary grade levels

• Is culturally sensitive, dependable, flexible and able to work in a continuously changing environment

Monthly Salary Range:

TAX FREE Montly salary ranging from KD 725 - 1175 depending on qualifications and years of experience.

Housing:

Furnished 1 -2 bedroom apartment depending on marital status OR Housing Allowance of KD 125 (rent is not expensive in Kuwait)

Transportation provided to school from School accommodation

Utilities paid for by school if staying in a school accommodation

Health Insurance Coverage:

Medical insurance for employee only (Medical insurance is not expensive in Kuwait)

Annual Air Tickets:

Annual return airfare to home country for employee only

Leave:

Annual summer vacations, winter and spring breaks, all government and religious holidays, sick leave, bereavement leave, and personal days are paid for in accordance with Labour Laws, school policy and procedures.

Dependant School Fees:

Tuition discount of 50% for up to two children attending same school as employee

Visa & Medical Check Fees:

Resident Visa Fees will be paid for employee only when done in Kuwait. Employee is responsible for dependent fees

End Of Service Benefit:

1 month Basic Salary for each year worked at end of service according to Labour Law of the country
