Job Description:

Develop lesson plans and themes in line with curriculum objectives specific for teaching Physical Education to FEMALE STUDENTS at Secondary grade levels. Attend professional development workshops and educational conferences in order to maintain and improve professional competence. Establish and enforce rules for class management and student behaviour. Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate student progress. with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors and administrators to resolve any possible behavioural or academic problems.

  • Organize games and challenges that promote physical activity among high school students
  • Exercise leadership by taking personal responsibility for monitoring and assessing the progress of all learners
  • Maintain up-to-date records of learners’ work and performance and communicate learners’ progress knowledgeably and responsibly, based on appropriate indicators, to learners, parents, and other colleagues
  • React quickly to an emergency or injury without panicking, and be physically fit enough to keep up with each class throughout the school day
  • Teach students how to play and compete in a variety of athletic sports: basketball, gymnastics, running, and yoga. PE teachers will need solid experience in each of those areas
  • Develop motor skills and physical development, as well as, proper exercise and eating habits among students
  • Adjust curricula to adapt to students with disabilities or different physical abilities
  • Observe students and maintain discipline within the classroom
  • Develop Curricula including coursework in physical, health and general education topics, such as exercise philosophy, health and nutrition
  • Exercise leadership by taking personal responsibility for monitoring and assessing the progress of all learners
  • Maximize efficiency, maintain discipline, morale, promote teamwork, plan, communicate, focus on results, evaluate progress, and make constant adjustments to their professional practice
  • Use a range of strategies to promote positive relationships, cooperation, and purposeful learning in the classroom

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Physical Education, Sports Managment or Sports Psychology from a recognized University in the UK, US, CA, AU, NZ, ZA preferred
  • Master Degree in Physical Education preferred
  • TEACHING QUALIFICATION preferred
  • Athletic and physically fit
  • Solid experience in variety of sports
  • Exercise philosophy, health and nutrition
  • Emergency response and injury management
  • Expert status in at least two or three sports
  • General understanding of physical fitness in variety of athletic sports: basketball, gymnastics, running, and yoga
  • Must have excellent classroom management skills and able to deal effectively with student behaviour issues

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years teaching experience in Physical Education at Secondary grade levels
  • Solid experience in various areas of athletic sports
  • Culturally sensitive, dependable, flexible and able to work in a continuously changing environment

Monthly Salary Range:

TAX FREE Monthly Salary AED 11,998

Housing:

Housing allowance: AED 7,424 - 11,600 per month (depending on the campus location and marital status)

Health Insurance Coverage:

Provided for employee, spouse and up to 3 dependent children

Annual Air Tickets:

Annual Return Air Fare based on home country location for employee, spouse and up to 3 dependent children

Relocation Allowance of 20,000 AED  Half given upon arrival and half at the end of 6 month probation period

Leave:

In addition to official holidays, paid leave is allocated as per academic calendar and as per the country Labour law. Minimum 30 work days per year

Dependant School Fees:

School Tuition of 80,000 AED per family, maximum 40K per child. This allowance to be used for tuition fees, exam fees, text books, uniform, school transport – (all must be official invoices from the school in the UAE)

Visa & Medical Check Fees:

VISA fees and Medical check done in the country for Residency Visa are paid by the school for Employee only

End Of Service Benefit:

Receive 21 days basic salary for each full year of service. Plus economy air ticket to place of permanent residence according to Labour Law of the country

Open Contract – renewable yearly

Paperwork Requirements:

Notarized and Attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates. You will be advised of school requirements
