Job Description:

Our client in the UAE is looking for Computer Science teachers to develop lesson plans and themes in line with curriculum objectives specific for teaching Computer Science subjects at Secondary grade levels 9 to 12. Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and organizing learning resources and the classroom environment. Meeting with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors and administrators to resolve any possible behavioural or academic problems. Must also establish clear objectives for all lessons, and projects. Distribute, collect and grade homework assignments, tests and projects and attend staff meetings.

Must teach Python and Java.

Teaching C++, CCNA and CCNP is an asset

Manage Online Teaching and Learning using apps like MS Teams, Zoom, Google Docs etc.  Use LMS platforms effectively to deliver knowledge and manage teaching and learning

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science from a recognized University in the UK, US, CA, AU, NZ, ZA or Scandinavian countries
  • TEACHING QUALIFICATION preferred
  • Basics of computer hardware and software maintenance (CompTIA) Strata Certificate) – A+ is preferred
  • Experience with Python, Java is required
  • MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) an asset
  • Cyber C3 Certificate or IC Citizen Certificate an asset
  • C++, CCNA an asset
  • Excellent English Communication Skills and could pass an IELTS at level 6.5 before joining
  • Have excellent classroom management skills and able to deal effectively with student behaviour issues

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years teaching experience in Computer Science at Secondary grade levels 9 to 12
  • Skilled in 3 IT Streams from following list:
    • Programming (preferably in JAVA, Python, Swift and C++)
    • Web Development: HTML, JavaScript, Dreamweaver CS5, PHP and MySQL
    • Media Technology: Photoshop CS5, InDesign CS5, Cinema 4D
    • Database Design and Management
    • Computer Networking: CCNA, PC Mainatenance and Troubleshooting
  • Culturally sensitive, dependable, flexible and able to work in a continuously changing environment

Monthly Salary Range:

TAX FREE Monthly Salary is AED 11,998 plus benefits

Housing:

Housing allowance: AED 7,424 to 11,600 per month (depends on the campus location and marital status)

Health Insurance Coverage:

Provided for employee, spouse and up to 3 dependent children

Annual Air Tickets:

Annual Return Air Fare Allowance given based on home country location for employee, spouse and up to 3 dependent children. Relocation air tickets also provided at beginning and end of contract

Relocation amount of 20,000 AED given upon arrival, to be used at own discretion (Half upon arrival and half after the probation period)

Leave:

In addition to official holidays, paid leave is allocated as per academic calendar and as per the country Labour law. Minimum 30 work days per year plus Term Breaks

Dependant School Fees:

School Tuition of 80,000 AED per family, maximum 40K per child) This allowance to be used for tuition fees, exam fees, text books, uniform, school transport – (all must be official invoices from a UAE school)

Visa & Medical Check Fees:

Fees will be paid for employee only. Employee is responsible for fees for dependents

End Of Service Benefit:

For each full year of service, school will pay 21 days of monthly Basic Salary, according to Labour Law of the country

Open Contract - renewable yearly

Paperwork Requirements:

Notarized and Attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates. You will be advised of school requirements.
