Job Description:

Female Head of English Department Candidate is needed at a high school in Saudi Arabia.  The Head of English is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of the English curriculum, assessment, and instructional services at the Secondary grade level. Head of Department evaluates how well the school curriculum meets student needs. Researches teaching methods and techniques and develops procedures to determine whether program goals are being met. Helps teachers become creators of student-centered learning environments, ready to challenge, and enable students to make real world application and connections of their learning.

Responsible for liaising with teachers in English Department. Ability to teach English at different levels of Secondary. Develop lesson plans and themes in line with curriculum objectives. Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and organizing learning resources and the classroom environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in English or Linguistics and/or Masters Degree in Education or Leadership from a recognized University
  • TEACHING QUALIFICATION HIGHLY PREFERRED FROM ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES: UK, US, CA, AU, NZ, or ZA
  • Must be Native English speaker or near

Required Experience:

  • Minimum teaching experience of 2 years in Secondary English subjects
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Head of English Department or in a similar role

Monthly Salary Range:

Take Home TAX FREE monthly salary up to 16,875 SAR ($4500 USD) depending on qualifications and experience

Free Furnished Housing with Utilies paid for by school 

Health Insurance Coverage:

Medical insurance for employee, spouse and two children under 18. Pregnancy and delivery covered.

Annual Air Tickets:

Summer vacation air tickets; for employee, spouse and two children under 12, if above 12 the difference should be paid by the employee.

Leave:

In addition to official holidays, paid leave is allocated as per academic calendar and as per country Labour law. Minimum 40 work days per year

Dependant School Fees:

Staff children are accepted according to availability and a 50-70% reduction is given on tuition fees for G1-G12 based on number of service years at the school.

Visa & Medical Check Fees:

Fees are covered once in the country

End Of Service Benefit:

Provided depending on the school

1 year contract - renewable

Paperwork Requirements:

Notarized and Attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates. You will be advised of school requirements
