Teaching Jobs - ESL Language School Instructors

Job Description:

A Language School in China is looking for teachers to teach ESL. Develop lesson plans and themes in line with curriculum objectives specific for teaching ESL.

Instruct the curriclum: Communicative Methodology using the Incredible English series by Oxford University Press through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations. Use computers, audiovisual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement presentations. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the varying needs and interests of students. Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and organizing learning resources and the classroom environment. Meeting with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors and administrators to resolve any possible behavioural or academic problems.

Establish and enforce rules for class management and student behaviour. Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate student progress.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree from a recognized University
  • ESL Certification required
  • Must be Native English speaker or near
  • Must have excellent classroom management skills and able to deal effectively with student behaviour issues

Monthly Salary Range:

MONTHLY SALARY up to $1500 USD depending on qualifications and experience. Potential to increase salary after probation to $3000 USD per month


Furnished 1-2 bedroom apartment or a housing allowance of $220 USD/month (1500 CNY). Apartments are very low cost in China

Health Insurance Coverage:

Medical Insurance for employee only between 50 to 100% coverage depending on treatment

Annual Air Tickets:

No annual air tickets provided


Annual paid leave of 4 weeks plus National holidays

Sick Leave is 2 hours paid per month


Dependant School Fees:

Dependent Fees are not provided

Visa & Medical Check Fees:

The School will pay for the residence permit and foreign employment permit including all fees, licenses and medical exam expenses for employee ONLY.

End Of Service Benefit:

Bonus of $1000 USD (6797 CNY) at the end of a one-year contract. If the School and the Teacher agree to sign a contract for an additional year, the initial year’s bonus will be $1177 USD (8000 CNY).

Contract Period:

1 year contract – renewable
