Job Description:

Develop lesson plans and themes in line with curriculum objectives specific for teaching some of the following Humanities Subjects: Geography or History or Travel & Tourism or Global Perspectives at Middle to Secondary grade levels. Instruct through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations. Use computers, audiovisual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement presentations. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the varying needs and interests of students. Facilitate learning by establishing a elationship with students and organizing learning resources and the classroom environment.

Meeting with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors and administrators to resolve any possible behavioural or academic problems. Attend professional development workshops and educational conferences in order to maintain and improve professional competence. Establish and enforce rules for class management and student behaviour. Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate student progress

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Humanities or Geography or History or Travel & Tourism or Global Perspectives from a recognized University in US, CA, UK, AU, NZ or South Africa

TEACHING LICENSE from same countries as above

• Must have excellent English Communications skills and could pass an IELTS exam to level 7

• Must have excellent classroom management skills and able to deal effectively with student behaviour issues

Required Experience:

• Minimum 2 years teaching experience in Subject area at Secondary grade levels

• Culturally sensitive, dependable, flexible and able to work in a continuously changing environment

Monthly Salary Range:

TAX FREE Monthly Salary from QAR 10,000 - 13,000 depending on qualifications and experience

Housing:

Furnished Accommodation (1 or 2 bedroom flat) according to Family status and size

Utilities paid at QAR 300 for Singles and QAR 500 for Married

Health Insurance Coverage:

National Medical insurance is provided for employee only

Annual Air Tickets:

Annual Return Airfare for employee and one dependent (Spouse or child)

Leave:

In addition to official holidays, paid leave is allocated as per academic calendar and as per country Labour law. Minimum 30 work days per year

Dependant School Fees:

100% discount on tuition for 1 dependent attending same school as employee

Visa & Medical Check Fees:

Fees will be paid for employees only. Employee is responsible for fees for dependents

End Of Service Benefit:

Gratuity of 21 days of Basic salary for each month worked as per Labor law

Contract Period:

1-2 year contract – renewable

Paperwork Requirements:

Notarized and Attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates. You will be advised of school requirements
