Job Description:
The
SIMS & Data Manager will take responsibility for overall management/supervision of SIMS across a Group of 3 Schools and operational management and strategic development of use of data throughout the Schools. This role will enable Schools to develop and maximize the use of SIMS and Data to inform and guide all aspects of operations, not just teaching and senior leadership, but admissions, marketing, finance and administration.
Typical key responsibilities include:
- be responsible for the management of 3 Schools assessment, reporting, recording and tracking systems
- responsible for the management and administration of all aspects of external and internal performance data and examinations
- technically supervise SIMS team and take complete ownership of SIMS management, implementation and utilization across the Group of schools
- responsible for producing other data, including the census, statistical data and management reports for the Governing Body and updating and amending internal assessment systems
- ensure up-to-date records of results and student progress and attainment are provided on timely basis
- ensures SIMS team are monitoring, timetables are set on timely manner & teaching load is at optimum level as per approved Policy
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree (minimum) with major in IT/Education
- possess full command over SIMS and Power BI (and/or any other tool for data visualization and presentation)
- have excellent knowledge & understanding of British Education and Curriculum
- possess excellent communication, organizational, numeracy and statistical skills, including the ability to manipulate and analyze large volumes of data
- ability to work in fast track professional environment with high accuracy while remaining calm and cheerful under pressure
- a real passion for the way technology can help students, teachers and the organization alike in an education setting
- be highly organized, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and an attention to detail, as well as, the ability to work independently and use own initiatives
Required Experience:
- Minimum 5 years experience (some in an International School Environment preferred) with SIMS School Data System
- Minimum 3 years experience in a Superviser/Manager role overseeing the SIMS system
- Demonstrate expertise with various computer information and data management systems (i.e. SIMS and Microsoft Excel)
- Supervise each academic and pastoral reporting session – from setting up a mechanism for data
collection, through to printing and distributing the reports to go home and associated analysis
- Must have excellent English Communications skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to communicate with diverse
audiences, to develop support for initiatives among stakeholders, and to motivate and work
cooperatively with others
- Exceptional analytical skills, including an ability to innovate ways of communicating complex information
- Ability to focus on detail and accuracy when compiling reports
- Excellent organizational, time management and planning skills including the ability to be flexible in
order to achieve targets;
- Ability to produce written reports suitable for a variety of audiences;
- Ability to handle unforeseen challenges and multiple priorities of an organization committed to
continuous improvement

Monthly Salary Range:
TAX FREE NET Monthly Salary range from QAR 16,000 to 18,000 depending on qualifications and experience

Visa and Residency costs covered for employee and one dependent
End Of Service Benefit:
Gratuity of 21 days of basic salary for each year worked, as per Labor law

Paperwork Requirements:
Notarized and Attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates. You will be advised of school requirements.
