Job Description:

A fully Accredited International School in the UAE that follows the American Curriculum is looking for a candidate who will be responsible for liaising with teachers in the Arabic Department and work on Curriculum and Assessment development for the program. Needs to have the qualifications and experience to teach Arabic at different grade levels of Middle-Secondary.  Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and organizing learning resources and the classroom environment.

  • Oversee the coordination of Curriculum and Assessment Development, revisions, and evaluations
  • Plan, organize, and direct the implementation of curriculum development, assessments, curriculum mapping and standardized testing
  • Provide leadership and support to teachers in collecting and using assessment data to improve student learning
  • Work with the Principal and other members of the administrative team on matters relating to curriculum development, assessments, staff development and instruction
  • Maintain accurate records on curriculum and assessments
  • Participate in administrative meetings as may be required or appropriate
  • Coordinate work as it relates to the development, implementation, and assessment of the curriculum, instruction, curriculum mapping and standardized testing

The school just relocated to a new, purpose built and thoughtfully designed state of the art building in 2017 and has grown considerably over the past few years rising to a target roll of 1400 students KG1 – G11. The school will be offering Grade 12 in September 2020..

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a degree in Arabic
  • Have a teaching license/qualification to teach Arabic at all Middle-Secondary grade levels

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years teaching Arabic at Middle-Secondary grade levels
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Curriculum Coordinator in an Arabic Department 

Monthly Salary Range:

TAX FREE MONTHLY SALARY AED 15,000 depending on qualifications and experience

Housing:

Studio apartment provided or Housing Allowance of 50,000 AED yearly

Second year a one bedroom apartment is provided

Health Insurance Coverage:

Medical coverage for employee only

Annual Air Tickets:

Annual Return air fare for employee only. Candidate is responsible for dependents.

Relocation air ticket is also provided at beginning and end of contract for employee only

Leave:

All Leave in accordance with UAE Labour laws (minimum 30 work days yearly) plus all National Holidays

Dependant School Fees:

School fees paid 100% for first child and 50% for second child attending same school as employee

 

Visa & Medical Check Fees:

Visa and medical check-up fees for Residence Visa in country paid for employee only

End Of Service Benefit:

Benefits are in accordance with UAE Ministry of Labour, usually around 21 days for each full year of service, paid at end of contract

3 year contract - renewable

Notarized and Attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates.  You will be advised of school requirements
