Teaching Jobs - Radiology Associate Professor

Job Description:

Experienced Associate Professors needed for the Department of Medical Imaging and Radiology to make a significant contribution to all activities of the organizational unit and interdisciplinary area and to play a significant role within the profession and discipline.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate or graduate students on related topics

• Supervise student laboratory and clinical work

• Evaluate and grade student class work, laboratory and clinic work, assignments and papers

• Keep abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues and participating in professional conferences

• Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, course materials, and methods of instruction

• Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and hand-outs

• Initiate, facilitate and moderate classroom discussions

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in Medical Imaging/Radiology is required 
  • Master in Radiology
  • Bachelor in Science/Radiology
  • Equivalency is required from the UAE Ministry of Higher Education after joining 
  • Registration in Home Country Professional Registering Body is a must (for International Applicants)

Required Experience:

  • Three (3) years teaching experience as a minimum 
  • Experience working in academic health care institutions or applied research on Medical Imaging/Radiography 
  • Five (5) years teaching experience, post PhD for Senior Level salary
  • Demonstrated success working within a high performing educational institution 
  • Excellent English skills and a IELTS score of no less than 6.5 for non-native English speakers 
  • Excellent computer literacy

Monthly Salary Range:

TAX FREE monthly salary of AED 17,500 - 25,000 depending on qualifications, years of experience, publications

Housing:

First 29 days employee stays in a hotel suite. Housing Allowance provided as follows for employee to find accommodation (Help will be given):

  • 8,320 to 13,000 AED monthly depending on marital status, location and position

 

Health Insurance Coverage:

For the employee & family (spouse and up to 3 children under the age of 18 years)

Annual Air Tickets:

For the employee & family (spouse and up to 3 children under the age of 18 years)

Repatriation Ticket Allowance: for the employee & family (spouse and up to 3 children under the age of 18 years)

Mobilization package: Relocation ticket to the UAE for the employee & family (spouse and up to 3 children under the age of 18 years).

AED 20,000 - relocation allowance upon joining (this is to help settle in the UAE)

 

Leave:

Approximately 2 months summer holidays, plus national holidays and term breaks

Dependant School Fees:

AED 80,000/- per annum per family (maximum AED 40,000 per child)

Visa & Medical Check Fees:

Covered for the employee & family (spouse and up to 3 children under the age of 18 years)

End Of Service Benefit:

At the end of the service employee is eligible for a gratuity (calculated as per the number of years completed and as per the last basic salary)

Contract Period:

Open Contract – renewable yearly

Paperwork Requirements:

Notarized and Attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates. You will be advised of school requirements
