An International School in Qatar that follows the British Curriculum is looking for a Head of Science who will be responsible for liaising and leading teachers in the Science Department (Biology, Physics, Chemistry) and for curriculum development for the program. Must be an experienced teacher able to teach Science (Biology, Physics, Chemistry) at different levels of Secondary. Develop lesson plans and themes in line with British curriculum objectives. Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and organizing learning resources and the classroom environment.
Meeting with teachers, counselors and administrators to resolve any possible behavioural or academic problem. Must also establish clear objectives for all lessons, and projects and attend staff meetings
• Bachelor Degree in Science (Biology, Physics or Chemistry) from a recognized University (From the UK preferred as this school uses the British Curriculum)
• TEACHING LICENSE FROM ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES: UK, US, CA, AU, NZ, ZA (due to Visa restrictions)
• Must have excellent English Speaking and Writing skills and could pass an IEL test at level 6.5 or higher
• Must have excellent classroom management skills and able to deal effectively with student behaviour issues
TAX FREE Monthly salary from QAR 14,000 - 18,000 depending on qualifications and experience

Utilities paid at QAR 300 for Singles and QAR 500 for Married Status

In addition to official holidays, paid leave is allocated as per academic calendar and as per country Labour law. Minimum 30 work days per year
100% tuition discount for 1 dependent attending same school as employee
VISA fees and Medical check done in the country for Residency Visa are paid for by the school for Employee only
21 days basic salary paid for each full year of service. Plus economy air ticket to place of permanent residence according to Labour Law of the country
