Job Description:

Our client is hiring Secondary English teachers to create effective and stimulating learner-centered opportunities for learning through high quality instruction that enables the development and progression of all students. To have enthusiasm for the subject matter that inspires others to have a lifelong love of learning and the motivation, skills and attitudes to be productive citizens contributing positively to the development of the country.

  • Manage the online teaching and learning using apps like MS Teams, Zoom, google docs,etc.
  • Provide multiple explanations and instructional strategies so that all students learn and can present the content to students in challenging, clear, and compelling ways, using real-world contexts and integrating technology appropriately
  • Exercise leadership by taking personal responsibility for monitoring and assessing the progress of learners
  • Maximizeefficiency,maintaindisciplineandmorale,promoteteamwork, plan, communicate, focus on results, evaluate progress, and make constant adjustments to their professionalpractice
  • Use a range of strategies to promote positive relationships, cooperation, and purposeful learning in the classroom
  • Use a range of teaching and learning strategies to engage learners in active learning opportunities that promote the development of critical thinking, problem solving, and performance capabilities and that help learners assume responsibility for identifying and using learningresources
  • Use formal tests, responses to quizzes, evaluation of class assignments, learner performances, projects, and standardized achievement tests to understand what learnersknow
  • Use formative assessment strategies that involve learners in self-assessment activities to help them become aware of their strengths and needs, and to encourage them to set personal goals forlearning
  • Maintain up to date records of learners work and performance and communicate learners progress based on appropriate indicators, to learners, parents, and other colleagues
  • Actively participate in staff development programs and performancereview
  • Prepare learners for qualifications and externalexaminations
  • Participate in and support extracurricular activities, such as outings, social activities and sporting events
  • Actively participate in and support whole-school trainingevents
  • Maintain a clear distinction between personal values and professionalethics
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary system of the institution

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in English, Literature, TESOL, Linguistics  from a recognized University
  • Masters Degree in English related subject is preferred
  • TEACHING QUALIFICATION FROM ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES: UK, US, CA, AU, NZ, ZA 
  • ESL Certification a definite asset
  • Experience teaching Technical English
  • Excellent English Communications skills and could pass an IELTS exam at level 8 
  • Must have excellent classroom management skills and able to deal effectively with student behaviour issues

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years experience teaching English from grades 9 to 12 in a reputable school
  • Experience in Vocational College an Asset
  • Online teaching and learning skills using different applications
  • Experience in second language acquisition
  • Qualified as IELTS Examiners an asset
  • Experience with Advanced Placement courses and exams
  • Experience withTOEFL an asset
  • Experience in teaching Technical English an asset
  • Familiarity with Web 2.0 Tools
  • Culturally sensitive, dependable, flexible and able to work in a continuously changing environment 

Monthly Salary Range:

Competitive TAX FREE Monthly Salary is AED 11,998

Housing:

Housing allowance: AED 7,400 - AED 11,600 per month (depends on the campus location and marital status)

New staff will stay in an apartment/hotel for the first 29 nights 

Health Insurance Coverage:

Provided for employee, spouse and up to 3 dependent children

Annual Air Tickets:

Cash Allowance given based on home country location for employee, spouse and up to 3 dependent children

Relocation air tickets also provided at beginning and end of contract

Relocation amount of 20,000 AED, half given upon arrival and remainder given at end of probation period, to be used at own discretion

Leave:

In addition to official holidays, paid leave is allocated as per academic calendar and as per the country Labour law.

Minimum 30 work days per year

Dependant School Fees:

School Tuition of 80,000 AED per family, maximum 40K per child) This allowance to be used for tuition fees, exam fees, text books, uniform, school transport – (all must be official invoices from the school)

Visa & Medical Check Fees:

VISA fees and Medical check done in the country for Residency Visa are paid by the school for Employee only.

End Of Service Benefit:

Receive 21 days basic salary for each full year of service. Plus economy air ticket to place of permanent residence according to Labour Law of the country.

Open Contract - renewable yearly

Paperwork Requirements:

Notarized and Attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates. You will be advised of school requirements.
